Steve Yelland
CEO/President
I joined JFR in 1990 when the product line included pallets and crates. My team and I developed a strategic plan to guide the company into the 21st century. In 2014, JFR acquired West Side Wood Products, a just-in-time producer of wood packaging. In 2015, we created JFR Holdings as the holding company. In 2017, we acquired Bruce Jones Contractors which specializes in wall panels and turn-key framing serving southern PA, Baltimore, and Washington.
While there is a sense of stability and tradition that comes from being part of a company that has been in my family for five generations, there is also a strong sense of responsibility. Even as we honor our history, I must constantly look to the future. I’m responsible for the company’s vision as well as planning and implementing strategy. I am constantly asking, “How can we do this better?” Our goal is to continuously improve and provide the very best products and services.
Like most industries, the industrial wood products and construction industries are experiencing rapid change. We have implemented employee training programs and technological system updates to keep pace with the way our customers do business. For example, we build and keep inventory allowing for 24-hour service for certain customers. This can be important to certain clients, giving them just-in-time and short-order capability.
Tim Kiick

I work with a family-owned company with a big vision and deep roots in Southern Pennsylvania and Maryland. Since joining the company, I’ve applied my in-depth knowledge of financial management, tax reporting, policy implementation, and strategies to maximize return on our investments.
My diverse finance and accounting experience has enabled me to help our business grow while staying true to our values and mission. Expanding our portfolio of companies under JFR Holdings allows us to serve customers better and the companies we’ve acquired, Bruce L Jones Contractors and West Side Wood Products align and complement J.F. Rohrbaugh and enhance our commitment to quality and superior customer service.
Serving as the COO for J. F. Rohrbaugh Co, Inc., West Side Wood Products and Bruce Jones Contractors, I oversee all day-to-day operations and ensure our strategy and focus on our customers is always at the forefront of everything we do.
Spencer Hancik

With more than a decade in business and a background in retail management, I apply both customer service and employee appreciation to my job.
Formally a manager in retail, I understand how our customers and employees want to be treated. Concerns and development options are always at the forefront of our mind. If we can build it better and faster with a new process, our team will do it. My team and I respond quickly, are proactive and anticipate our customers' orders sometimes before they realize they need something. Keeping the legacy and integrity of West Side Wood Products, as well as, fulfilling the requirements of our parent company, JFR Holdings, is important to my overall success within the company and with our customers, new and old.
Along with J.F. Rohrbaugh & Bruce L Jones Contractor, I focus on making sure the daily operations of the business and our customers are pleased with packaging solutions produced at West Side Wood Products in Auburn, PA.
Darrell Kohler

You could say wood packaging is in Darrell Kohler’s veins. Having built an entire career in the industry, Darrell made the leap to start his own business (with the help of his wife Julianne) in 1990. Since then, their diligent work and commitment has helped West Side Wood Products expand rapidly. As the business has grown – moving to a new facility in 2007 – Darrell and his team still do what they do best: build solid partnerships with their customers based on integrity and reliability, and build custom boxes, crates, and pallets made from high quality lumber.
Darrell continues to operate in a day-to-day capacity at West Side Wood Products, servicing legacy accounts and offering leadership and advice to the management team.
Nicolas Navarro
Field Application Engineer
Nico joined JFR Holdings in 2020 after completing graduate school at Virginia Tech. His past experience includes working as a laboratory manager at the Center for Packaging and Unit Load Design, where he conducted and supervised commercial testing for pallets and packaging products. As a field application engineer, Nico is responsible for providing technical support to the industrial products business development and account management teams.
