The West Side Wood Story

When it comes down to it, you can sum up West Wide Wood Products in three words: Experience. Integrity. Community.

After years of working in the wood packaging industry, our founder Darrell Kohler and his wife Julianne established West Side Wood Products in 1990, in Auburn, Pa. to serve the Berks, Schuylkill and surrounding areas.

Our History

Our first location was a converted mill on forested land, which we painstakingly cultivated, acre by acre. We quickly expanded and opened a second facility just a mile away, but in order to meet the increasing demands of our clients, one thing became clear: we needed to start from the ground up.

In 2007, we made the move, opting to build our own custom-designed facilities completely equipped to deliver the exceptional quality and service that are the roots of who we are.

West Side Today

Today, our 16-acre property holds our 60,000 square foot facilities, including two heated production buildings and three dry storage warehouses. Our new facilities enable us to build more, and stock more materials and finished products, for faster, more reliable service and unparalleled quality of our products.

Our ever-growing team specializes in custom wood packaging, such as skids, pallets, crates, and boxes in all shapes and sizes to suit your specific shipping needs. All of our lumber is grade-3 or higher and ISPM-15 certified. We understand that what you’re shipping is important to you, which is why we believe you should be able to ship your goods with confidence.

As a family owned and operate business, we’re proud to have built solid partnerships with our customers, and to give back to the Auburn community.
